The development of life skills oriented to the prevention of violence for the construction of a Culture of PEACE implies recognizing that direct violence is a manifestation of structural violence and cultural violence.

It is therefore necessary to transform cultural practices that legitimize violence and strengthen the institutional offer for participating children and youth in order to improve their social conditions.

The methodology used integrates the development of social skills oriented to the prevention of violence, the promotion of gender equity, the construction of a life project, citizenship skills, leadership, youth projection and the development of reading skills through creative tools that use soccer, music and the arts as the axis of interest, the experience in this field has allowed the design, validation and evaluation of the following methodologies.

Similarly, social, community and political participation is a cross-cutting element in the processes that are developed, which has allowed us to strengthen methodologies in the recovery of urban spaces, the strengthening of Community Development Centers for Inclusion and the projection of youth leadership.

The Foundation has a reconciliation approach, which seeks to strengthen the subject of rights and duties, as a generator of bonds based on care, respect and social exchange, the latter being the differentiating factor of the entity, since the interaction of stories and life experiences of people from different backgrounds, such as the meeting of victims and young former gang members, former combatants, children and youth at risk, etc., generates from their life stories, common meeting points, which contribute to the building of trust and the fabric of society.

These actions range from self-care to the care of others and their coexistence with the environment. This is what the Sidoc Foundation seeks, to accompany the process of social transformation and peace building.
