The Problem
The southwest of Colombia faces multiple situations of violence that impose challenges on us as a Foundation:
Cali has 2'420,100 inhabitants and a homicide rate of 44.2* per 100,000 inhabitants.
Santander de Quilichao (Norte del Cauca) has 95,041 inhabitants and a homicide rate of 81* per 100,000 inhabitants.
Buenaventura has 311 inhabitants and a homicide rate of 35* per 100,000 inhabitants.

For this reason, we focus our work on the prevention of:
- Children, adolescents and young people (NNAJ) are involved in contexts of violence and risk.
- Gender violence .
- Risk and violation of human rights.
- Difficulties in community participation and ownership.
- Social and political exclusion.
- Lack of employment and economic opportunities.
